Scope of Work
The scope of work for the
4th Street
Improvements Project includes
reconstruction of 4th
Street from Clarke Avenue to
Garfield Avenue and the
reconstruction of
State Avenue
from 4th Street to 5th
Street. Storm sewer
improvements will be made along
4th Street from Clark
Avenue to approximately 300 feet
east of
State Avenue.
Sanitary sewer and water main
improvements will be made on 4th
Street from Clark Avenue to
State Avenue and on State Avenue
from 4th Street to 5th
Street. Other major
improvements will include
decorative historical lighting
and new pavement markings which
will improve parking in the
downtown area.
Project Schedule
The project is scheduled to
begin the week of
May 22, 2006 and the project completion date is
October 27, 2006.
The project is divided into
three phases.

The construction schedule is an
estimate of progress and is
subject to revision based upon
weather delays and actual time
of construction.
Progress Meetings
Throughout the project, progress
meetings will be held to provide
updates to the project as well
as provide an opportunity for
the public to discuss issues
with City staff, our consulting
engineers, and the contractor.
The meetings will be held on the
1st and the 15th
of each month during
construction. The meeting will
be held on the following Monday,
should the 1st or the
15th fall on a
weekend.
Meetings will be at
10:00 a.m.
on those days in the City
Council Chambers. |
