Children under the age of 16 must have a parent's or guardian's signature to obtain a library card.

A picture ID and two forms of proof of current address must be presented at the time of application.

There is no limit on the number of books, periodicals, or audio books on loan.

To renew a item on loan you may phone the library with the barcode number or bring the item into the library.

There is a maximum of 2 video items out on loan per library member visit.

Video (VHS and DVD) may be borrowed for 1 week.

A fine of $1 per day per video item will be assessed on late videos.

All families with a permanent residence outside the city limits of Dell Rapids must pay a yearly membership fee of $7.00 per family.

Rural memberships will be withdrawn if the membership is 90 days past due.

Patrons showing proof of owning a business in Dell Rapids and residing outside the city limits are not required to pay the rural membership fee.

Internet usage is limited to those members who have signed the internet rules/disclaimer form and have full borrowing privileges.

All items may be placed in the book return when the library is closed.

A fine will be assessed on any item(s) not returned by 9 AM on the calendar day following the due date.

A book you wish to read may not be in our collection.  The book might be available to read from another library.  Please ask for an Interlibrary request form or email the request to plibrary@siouxvalley.net.

ILL privileges are limited to those members who have full borrowing privileges.

Each member is limited to five ILL items on request at one time.

Items above are per capita, the amount for each person in adjusted population (2,835)
